We celebrate "The Day Of The Unborn Child" on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25.

Day of the Unborn Child—March 25, 2017

The life of each human being begins at the moment of his or her conception and is unique and unrepeatable.

For over 30 years the Knights of Columbus have been at the forefront of the right to life movement, and this year will prove no different. On March 25, 2017, Councils are asked to renew their commitment in keeping with the established tradition of the Order by celebrating an International Day of the Unborn Child.   In years past the International Knights of Columbus Day of the Unborn Child has been an overwhelming success. Many Councils throughout the Order have hosted a variety of prayer programs and the various members of the Catholic Church and the community saw our never-ending commitment to stand up for those who can not stand up for themselves. This year will be no different.  When celebrating the Day of the Unborn Child, Councils are encouraged to conduct either a pro-life mass or a rosary prayer service.  The Day Of The Unborn Child is on the Feast of the Annunciation : the day that Mary said YES and she conceived the Savior of the World.

PLEASE PRAY THE ROSARY AND ATTEND MASS AT YOUR PARISH IMPLORING GOD’S GRACE THAT ALL PARENTS WILL CHOOSE LIFE

The Knights of Columbus has been a leader in the pro-life movement for over 40 years. The Knights of Columbus Day of the Unborn Child is an opportunity for Knights to stand up and speak out against the evils of abortion.

The Knights of Columbus Day of the Unborn Child, always a successful event throughout the Order, to come together with friends and family to host a variety of prayer programs within their parishes and their communities that show our never-ending commitment to unborn children and their mothers.

Culture of Life continued March 1 is not only the beginning of Lent, a time of prayer and reflection but also the beginning of the national Spring campaign of 40 Days For Life.  This campaign is also a time of fasting and prayer for the unborn babies and their families that they choose Life. The initial 40 Days for Life campaign was held in the Bryan-College Station, Texas area in 2004.  The first national campaign was held in the Fall of 2007.  A second national campaign was held in the Spring of 2008 during the during the season of Lent.  Since then two campaigns have been held each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

Find a 40 Day for Life campaign near you and become active in this movement.

The initial 2004 local campaign resulted in a rejuvenation of local pro-life activities in the Bryan-College Station area. Over the next two and a half years, the campaign was replicated in six other cities. In early 2007, the leaders of those first campaigns got together and suggested a simultaneous nationwide 40 Days for Life campaign in as many cities as wished to participate. The first national campaign ran that fall with activities in more than 80 cities in more than 30 American states. A second national campaign ran in the spring of 2008 during the season of Lent, with events held in 59 cities

Vivat Jesus!
